Chiefs’ New Signings Cleared to Play
Two of Kaizer Chiefs’ new signings are reportedly cleared to finally play for the club.
According to reports, Burundian striker Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana and Mozambican defender Edmilson Dove – both of whom signed with the Glamour Boys in August – could not play until they had gained their work permits.
Now, it appears that they have received their permits and are ready to don their black-and-gold jerseys.
Bimenyimana and Dove’s availability is a double boost for Amakhosi: the club is set to take on AmaZulu in a DStv Premiership match tomorrow, Saturday 3 September, on their home turf at FNB Stadium, Johannesburg.
Also expected to be part of tomorrow’s squad are forward Ashley Du Preez – who recently returned from a groin injury – and midfielder Yusuf Maart, who had served a two-match suspension after picking up a red card in their Premiership match against Richards Bay on 20 August.
